Arrival to the Congress Venue
Arriving by plane:
Montreal Trudeau airport is one of the biggest airports in Canada and located 20 minutes away from the city center. All major airlines are serving Montreal from more than 130 destinations and hubs worldwide.

The 747 bus line runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, between Montréal-Trudeau Airport and downtown Montréal (corner of Berri and Sainte-Catherine – Berri-UQAM station). Travel time may vary between 45 to 70 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Licensed taxis are available at the airport. Taxi fare approx. CAD 40-60 per way plus gratuity.

Arriving by train:
Montreal is connected to all major Canadian cities amongst other Quebec, Ottawa and Toronto as well as New York. Long distance trains are arriving at Montreal Gare Centrale.

Public transportation:
The Montreal Palais de Congrès is located in downtown area of Montreal, It can be reached by several public transportation possibilities.

Montreal has a semi-continental climate, with warm, humid summer days. In June the average temperature is 20°C/68°F.

The official currency is the Canadian Dollar CAD. Exchange of foreign currency is available at the airport, train station, at most hotels, banks and exchange offices.

The Organizers cannot accept liability for injuries or losses of whatever nature incurred by participants, nor for loss of or damage to their luggage and/or personal belongings.

The electric supply is 110 Volt and 60 Hertz. Canada uses the two-flat pin system.

The official language of the Congress is English.

Personal Insurance
We recommend that all participants take out a personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

Program Changes
The Organizers cannot assume liability for any changes in the program due to external unforeseen circumstances.

Congress Registration Counter
All congress materials and documentations will be available from the congress registration counter located on 5th floor Foyer 510 at the Palais des Congrès de Montreal.

As in all major cities and congress venues, people should take care of their personal belongings. It is not advised to wear your congress badge outside the XVIV IAPRD Congress activities.

Smoking Policy
Smoking is not allowed at the venue; the meeting is a non-smoking event.

Canada has started in 2016 an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) and all visa exempt foreign nationals who fly to Canada must apply online. Please check the website for further details.
